My CV
Engineering and product in one document: everything I've built and everything I've owned.
I’m Kristina Kapitanova, a Front-End Lead and Product Manager in Sofia. I've built six crypto compliance products single-handedly, from first commit to production, and now own one of them end to end.
Most recent first.

CashoutReady
Crypto source-of-wealth reports for individuals
I'm the Product Manager for CashoutReady, launching soon: ChainComply's source-of-wealth analysis for individuals. People hand over their own exchange accounts and wallets, ChainComply reconstructs how their wealth was built, and they get a claim their bank can read. It builds on what we learned from the Analyst Workspace and Connect: I turn that into requirements the team can build from, and own prioritisation and delivery.
Building on what we knew: CashoutReady builds on the feedback we'd gathered from analysts and their clients on the Analyst Workspace and Connect, so we knew early what people needed. I turn that into requirements the team can build from: the problem, the scope, user stories and acceptance criteria. (Product)
From B2B to B2C: I took the source-of-wealth analysis compliance teams get in ChainComply's Analyst Workspace and opened it to individuals: they hand over their wallets and accounts, pay, and receive a claim their bank can read, reviewed by an analyst. (Product)
Prioritisation: I own the roadmap and the backlog: what ships next, what waits, and the reasoning behind each call. (Product)
Async delivery: I run delivery with an async team, through written requirements, clear acceptance criteria and the ClickUp workflow I designed. (Product)

ChainComply
Crypto EDD and source-of-wealth platform
ChainComply is a decision-making system for crypto source of wealth, built for MiCA, EBA guidance and AML. It brings a client's exchange and on-chain data together so banks, crypto asset service providers, wealth managers and tax accountants can make a defensible yes or no. I single-handedly built the frontend of all of its products in their current form, rebuilding every feature through a full redesign, and now lead frontend development across them.
Analyst workspace: I built the B2B workspace, now live, where compliance officers and tax accountants examine a client's crypto: reconciliation, source of wealth, capital gains and P&L, margin trades, counterparties and funds flow, hidden wallets, and Source-of-Wealth graphs. (Engineering)
Getting data in: A client's data comes in from 100+ exchanges and 150+ blockchains, by API or CSV, or from crypto tax calculators such as Kryptos. I built the frontend for all of it. (Engineering)
Risk checks: Illicit-activity checks run through the blockchain intelligence tools a client already uses. (Engineering)
Reporting: I built the reporting: a decision dashboard and an audit-ready source-of-wealth report a financial institution can accept. (Engineering)
And more proprietary features I can't share publicly. (Engineering)
Every app: I designed the Analyst Workspace, Connect, CashoutReady and Cash-Out × Kryptos myself, as well as building them. (Design)
From sketch to code: I start with low- and high-fidelity wireframes, on paper, in Figma or in Miro, test ideas with quick proofs of concept in StackBlitz, then design the final interface directly in code. (Design)
Vue to React: I migrated the entire codebase from Vue to React, giving the platform a modern, scalable foundation. (Engineering)
Monorepo: I restructured two npm projects into a pnpm, Turborepo and Vite monorepo with a shared component library, taking build and deploy from minutes to seconds and making new projects trivial to add. (Engineering)
Redesign: I delivered a platform-wide redesign that improved navigation and engagement, with WCAG AA accessibility, internationalisation and cross-browser support. (Engineering)
Monitoring: I added browser-side synthetic checks with Playwright for failures our existing monitoring could not see, then broke my own apps on purpose to test what they caught. (Engineering)
Roadmap: I partner with Product on roadmap and release planning: arguing priority by client impact, deciding what ships next and what goes to the backlog, and estimating the effort. While we negotiated with prospective clients, I weighed the features they asked for, core needs against smaller fixes, against each other and the work already planned. (Product)
Dependencies: I own cross-team dependencies: I find the backend work blocking frontend delivery, agree contracts and response shapes with the backend team, and drive the sequencing to unblock it while the frontend keeps moving against mocks. (Product)
Requirements: I turn vague requirements into buildable work: user stories, acceptance criteria and frontend spec templates. (Product)
Workflow: I defined the workflow the team runs on: branching strategy, commit conventions, task lifecycle and code review standards. (Leadership)
AI delivery: I built a delivery workflow on the ClickUp and GitHub MCPs, where requirements refined with Claude become tasks and pull requests, and designed the ClickUp workspace, templates and automations now used across teams. (Leadership)
Agentic QA: I built an AI-assisted end-to-end QA step: an agent drives Playwright through the full app against real APIs and live data, then produces a snapshot report of every scenario. (Leadership)
Mentoring: I mentor junior developers, and wrote the technical guides, wireframes and schemas we use for onboarding. (Leadership)

Custom software development and IT consulting
I built frontends for two enterprise platforms at a leading global aviation company, and became interim manager for a cohort of junior frontend developers, whose onboarding programme I helped redesign.
Template management: I learned Angular from scratch and built a template management system: people manage a library of templates for different due-diligence processes, edit them by dragging pre-designed components onto a grid, and export the result as a document. (Engineering)
Engine maintenance management: I built the core of a platform for managing aircraft engine maintenance work: complex data grids and dynamic forms. (Engineering)
Junior cohort: I became interim manager for a cohort of junior frontend developers, with a weekly one-to-one with each of them. (Leadership)
Onboarding redesign: I helped redesign the onboarding programme from the ground up, because it was outdated and missing resources. Each junior worked through it with a mentor who rotated weekly and reviewed their work. (Leadership)
Mentors and leadership: I met the mentors every week, synced monthly and as needed with two software engineering managers and the CTO, and compared notes with the backend interim manager. (Leadership)

Infoleven
Web and mobile development, acquired by Stanga1
I worked on client platforms across B2B e-commerce, student funding and M&A due diligence, at times as the only frontend developer, and grew from building features to shaping requirements and leading how the frontend was built.
12 platforms: I worked on twelve B2B e-commerce platforms for a global FMCG enterprise, with React, TypeScript, Redux, Sass and Storybook. (Engineering)
Sole developer: For part of the project I was its only frontend developer, trusted with it because I worked closely with the product team, influenced their decisions and sharpened requirements before they reached development. (Product)
Built from scratch: I built an income-contingent student funding platform from scratch, with React, TypeScript, Sass and Docker. (Engineering)
Legacy maintenance: I maintained a legacy book management system written in vanilla JavaScript and running on virtual machines. (Engineering)
Core features: I implemented the features clients used most: every data grid, multi-level filtering and dynamic forms, with React, TypeScript, Redux, Sass and Material UI. (Engineering)
RFC: I wrote the RFC for a major change to the app's most used functionality, dynamic filtering with user-level persistence across multiple data grids, and shaped it with stakeholders. (Product)
Redesign: I redesigned the whole app on my own from a designer's Figma, changing how it looked and behaved end to end and making it much easier to adopt. (Engineering)
Team practice: I introduced code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and the task breakdown and estimation process the team adopted, and led the move to KendoReact components across the platform. (Leadership)

Developer tools, maker of Telerik and Kendo UI
I supported developers building with KendoReact, a commercial React component library: answering their questions against strict response times, turning their bug reports into tracked issues, and keeping the documentation current.
Support tickets: I answered tickets from developers integrating KendoReact, each with a response deadline of 8 to 72 hours (most often 24): how to integrate and customise components, how to work around limitations, and how they work under the hood. (Engineering)
Live sessions: I joined live calls in which customers walked me through problems in their own applications. (Engineering)
Bug triage: When a customer found a bug, I logged it in our tracking tool and posted it on the public feedback forum, where other users could upvote it, so the team could prioritise fixes by how many people needed them. (Product)
Documentation: I kept the documentation up to date, added examples, and wrote knowledge base articles for recurring questions. (Engineering)
Fixes: I shipped minor bug fixes to the library itself. (Engineering)
